“I Prayed My Cup Might Pass: A Musical Tribute to Chatfield’s Dead in the Great War.”

The Hodge-Martin-Chatfield Museum will be sponsoring the program “I Prayed My Cup Might Pass:  A  Musical Tribute to Chatfield’s Dead in the Great War

This will feature old-fashioned tableau with music of the First World War, readings about the War and the four men from this rural community who died in the Great War, and “living history” with interpreters in period dress.

The Heritage Brass Band of Dallas under the direction of Larry Johnson will also perform music of the WWI period in military uniform.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017. It will be located at the Chatfield-Tupelo Community Center, Chatfield, Texas, 55 miles south of Dallas off of I-45 between Ennis and Corsicana.   Come by to show your support and enjoy the program.
