Connected by letters sent to one another from France to Dallas\, these long and often passionate love letters paint an intimate and revealing narrative of the world and culture of the early 1900s. \nSpellman received his PhD from the University of Houston along with degrees from A&M Corpus Christi and UT Austin. He was inducted into the Western Writers of America in 2009 and was the Piper Professor for WCJC in 2014. \nHe is the author of eight books on Texas history\, two of which were awarded the Will Rogers Distinguished Book Award. \nThis World War I program is free and open to the public.
