A World Overview of WWI

Justin Jolly, History Professor, Messenger College

WWI was a global phenomenon and had profound effects on nations around the world. Many factors brought the world to war and there was no single reason that each nation or territory chose to enter armed conflict. Professor Jolly provides a world overview of the conflict and examines how global colonialism and imperialism played a part.

  • 1 p.m. Sat., Sept. 23, Central, Tandy Lecture Hall

The lecture series is part of the From Cowboy to Doughboy, North Texas in WWI: Mobilization for The Great War exhibit located at the Fort Worth Central Library. The exhibit is on display throughout the Central Library from Jul. 9 – Oct. 19, 2017. More information on the exhibit is available here.
